Payments
Square
Many service businesses already use Square for card-present payments and invoicing. Frontier connects Square to your booking and lead pipeline — so when a job closes, the Square invoice is already drafted, sent, and tracked automatically.
How It Works
Frontier integrates with the Square API. When a job or estimate is closed, Frontier creates a Square invoice with the customer details, line items, and amount. The invoice is sent directly to the customer's email. Payment confirmation webhooks update Frontier in real time.
What Data Moves
- Completed job → Square invoice created and sent
- Customer info → Square customer profile created or updated
- Line items and amounts → Square invoice line items
- Payment received → Frontier dashboard updated
What This Means for Your Business
- Stop manually creating Square invoices at the end of every job
- Customers receive a Square invoice link immediately when the job closes
- Payment status flows back into Frontier so you know who's paid without logging into Square
- Existing Square customers are matched by email so you don't create duplicates
Common Questions
Does this work with Square for Retail or just Square Invoices?
This integration uses Square Invoices and the Square Customers API. It works alongside your existing Square setup.
Can I still take card-present payments with Square hardware?
Yes — this integration handles invoicing and customer records. In-person Square card readers continue to work as normal.
